A Bug in HIDES "Clermont" texts when viewed through Wordcruncher

When you examine or index First Crusade texts from the HIDES text-base through WCVLtd (Wordcruncher), you may find the index looking decidedly odd. This is because of some error in text preparation affecting some lower case letters. I am hoping that the text upgrade for which I have requested will arrive soon, even "real soon now". The index function is still perfectly usable once you realize the secret.

Where the text has "t", the screen shows Greek "beta" = ASCII 225
Where the text has"u", the screen shows "t" = ASCII 116
Where the text has"v", the screen shows "ú" = ASCII 163
Where the text has"w", the screen shows "v" = ASCII 118
Where the text has"x", the screen shows "w" = ASCII 119
Where the text has"y", the screen shows "x" = ASCII 120
Where the text has"z", the screen shows "ÿ" = ASCII 152

Hard to see much of a pattern, isn't it?
