I will join the Department of Government as an Assistant Professor in July 2008. My research and teaching interests include international security, domestic sources of foreign policy, and political methodology. I am particularly interested in how domestic politics affect authoritarian leaders' decisions about war, peace, and international cooperation.

I will receive my Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University in 2008. I also hold a B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University and a Master's in International History and Politics from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.
