Teaching and Research Interests Mary Fainsod Katzenstein is
the Stephen and Evalyn Milman Professor of American Studies and professor
in the Government Department and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
Program. She has written on feminist activism cross-nationally focusing
particularly on the United States, Europe, and India. She is the co-editor
with Carol Mueller of The Women's Movements of the United States and
Western Europe (Temple University Press, 1987). More recently, she
is the author and co-editor of Faithful and Fearless: Moving Feminist
Protest inside the Church and Military (Princeton University Press,
1998) and with Judith Reppy, Beyond Zero Tolerance: Discrimination
and Military Culture in the U.S. (Rowman and Littlefield, 1999) and
with Raka Ray, Social Movements in India: Poverty, Power and Politics
(Rowman and Littlefield, 2005).
