Noni has carried out two years of field work in Nairobi, Kenya within the United Nations Development Programme and locally run and managed Kenyan NGOs. Her work focuses on communities of expertise, the professional modes and bureaucratic processes through which these communities make meaning, and the ways in which the specific objects and tools of expertise are understood and manipulated within these processes.
